Terms of Service

1) Agreement 

By using the aaramse app (the App), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. 

2) What aaramse is 

The App provides high-level guidance, suggested To-Dos, practical information, links to official sources and relevant organisations to help you navigate a new country.  

Any information requested from you and provided by you will be used only to improve your experience of the App, unless clearly stated at the time of the request and subject to your approval.  

3) Not official advice 

aaramse is not a government authority, legal counsel, or financial institution. Content in the App is general guidance and may not suit every situation. For critical decisions, always confirm with official sources. We aim to support and guide but do not claim that the information or advise provided in the app is fully up to date, completely accurate or suitable for individual circumstances.  

4) Your account 

  • The User need to create an account to use the app. 

  • The User is responsible for keeping login details secure. 

  • The User is responsible for the accuracy of the email provided. 

5) Acceptable use 

You agree not to: 

  • Break the law using the App 

  • Try to access the App in unauthorised ways (hacking, scraping, interfering with security) 

  • Misuse the App or harm other users 

6) Offers and third parties 

The App may include offers or links to third-party services. If you choose to engage with a partner, that relationship is between you and the partner, and their own terms and privacy policy apply. 

7) Intellectual property 

Easewest AB own the App, branding, and content. The User may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. The User may not copy, resell, or distribute the App or its content without written permission.  

8) Changes and availability 

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App. We aim to do this in a reasonable way and notify our users in advance if it affects their saved progress, To-Dos, or offers. 

9) Termination 

You can stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or if we must do so for legal/security reasons. 

10) Disclaimers 

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We cannot guarantee the App will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully up to date. As we work with a vast amount of third-party information to provide easily accessible guidance, we always aim to stay as accurate and updated as we possibly can, but it’s always the users’ responsibility to verify the latest critical information from the official sources. We cannot be held responsible for errors in the process or requirement guidance provided.  

11) Limitation of liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law: 

  • Easewest AB provides a free service offering high level guidance - and cannot be held liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, or punitive damages related to the usage of our services.  

  • Our total liability related to the App is limited to 1000 SEK. 

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law. 

12) Governing law 

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes will be handled by Swedish courts, unless mandatory consumer rules say otherwise. 

13) Changes to these Terms 

If we update these Terms, we’ll update the effective date and provide a clear notice for significant changes.

1) Summary 

We collect limited personal information. 

Partner insights (if any) come only from optional surveys and are shared in a way that does not identify you. 

Any personal data shared with third-party organisations would, if at all, only happen after the user’s clear consent. 

2) What we collect 

A) Account data (to create your account and save your selections and progress) 

Email address 

Username (display name) 

B) Onboarding choices (to tailor the guidance you see) 

We might or might not ask a few optional non-mandatory questions to tailor the steps in the App to match your situation. This may include: 

Citizenship and or passport (ex. EU / Non-EU) 

Your residential permit / visa status in Sweden (ex. Work visa, Student visa) 

Intended length of stay  

Family situation 

We do not use these questions for identification. They are optional and exist only to give you the possibility to see tailored content and to provide you with more clear guidance. 

C) Progress data (to make the App useful) 

Saved progress, completed steps, and To-Do's 

Partner offers which you chose to save and use 

Preferences you set inside the App 

D) Optional survey data (only if you choose to participate) 

Surveys are conducted with the intention to understand and improve the users’ experience of settling in in Sweden. Your survey answers will be anonymised and aggregated within reasonable time.  

3) Why we use this information 

We use your data to: 

Enable The User to log in to the app 

Tailor guidance and checklists (for example, EU and non-EU citizens sometimes have differing processes or document requirements)  

Save your progress and preferences so you can continue where you left off 

Respond if you contact support 

Improve the App (including through optional surveys) 

Improve any partner offers (including through optional surveys) 

4) Sharing with partners 

aaramse may show partner offers in the App. We do not share your email, username, onboarding answers, or saved progress with partners for their marketing. 

If we share any insights with partners, it will be: 

Based only on optional surveys 

Shared in a way that does not identify you (for example, aggregated statistics) 

Following your own decision to engage with them 

If we ever want to share anything that could identify you, we will ask you clearly first.  

5) Service providers 

We may use trusted service providers to run the App (for example, hosting, email delivery, and customer support tools). They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. 

6) How long we keep your data 

Account + onboarding + progress data: kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 60 days.  

Optional surveys: once closed and aggregated, the personal data from surveys will be deleted within 60 days.  

7) Your rights 

Depending on where you live (and especially in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to:

Receive a copy of your data (portability, where applicable)

8) International transfers 

If we use providers outside the EU/EEA, we apply appropriate safeguards when required (for example, EU Standard Contractual Clauses). 

9) Security 

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. But the strongest risk-reducing measure is us collecting as little data as possible and for you to keep your password protected.  
 

10) Children 

The App is not harmful to, but also not intended for use by unsers under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, you may contact us for support to remove the account.

11) Changes 

If we update this Privacy Policy, we’ll change the effective date and add a summary of the changes. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a clear notice to all users.
